Accept offer or wait for others?

My daughter aplied to a number of DPT programs in the mid-atlantic to southern region. She has ben acepted to 3 and has not heard from the others. The problem is that the programs she has ben acepted to want a response by January 20th with a sizeable deposit. Is it apropriate for her to cal the others to ask if she is being considered? I wish there was a standardized date for aceptance so she could have more time to weigh her options. Any advice would be helpful... [ read more ]

Is it true that unis reject you because they're sure you'll accept another's offer?

This boy in my SF aplied to some top unis for economics. He's a straight A student, must've had realy shiny references. He got rejected from Oxford, but also from UCL. He's just someone you consider Oxbridge standard, I thought it unlikely that he wouldn't get a place there, but the fact that UCL rejected him, was a joke. Insurance implications if I accept a job offer in Holland

I am curently considering a job ofer for a position in Holand and was wondering are there any insurance implications I should be aware of (I would be working on a frelance basis - invoicing on a day rate). Firm: Birmingham Uni 36 points at IB Conditional: Exeter Uni 3 points at IB I scored 35 points and found out last night that Birmingham rejected me. I got my 'welcome' pack from Aberystwyth today as they've given me an ofer. Inside the Scholarships boklet it describes a scholarship where you take a test and if you do wel enough you'l receive either Ł1,0 every year or Ł1,0 in your first year. Advice regarding accept/reject of an offer

Helo everyone, I was wondering, I have received an ofer from two medical schols but have not yet decided which to atend. I had to give the seat down-payment previously for both as I heard from each at diferent times.
